Electricity-Driven Nitrogen Fixation & NOx Synthesis Research Platform

The PCT-NOx-01 is an integrated experimental platform developed for air activation, plasma nitrogen fixation and greennitrogen-cycle research. Using low-temperature plasma to efficiently activate N2, O2 and air molecules, it generates NO, NO2 and other reactive nitrogen species under ambient pressure. The platform integrates a discharge reactor, dynamic gas mixing, process control and online analysis interfaces, supporting multiple discharge modes and process-parameter tuning to serve plasma nitrogen-fixation mechanism studies, NOx synthesis, nitrate production and electricity-driven chemistry process development. With its modular design and excellent expandability, the platform provides standardized experimental infrastructure for green nitrogen-cycle technology research.
- Efficient activation: low-temperature plasma-driven air activation achieves efficient nitrogen fixation at ambient pressure andtemperature, without high temperature or high pressure.
- Modular: discharge mode, power, gas flow/ratio and reactor configuration are all adjustable for rapid reconfiguration across
reaction systems. - Cascade-ready: NOx reactive species can be fed directly into downstream reactors (e.g. electrocatalytic flow cells) to build a "plasma nitrogen fixation - electrocatalytic conversion" cascade system.
